Several pieces of street art from our area are featured in this world collection https://lnkd.in/dexfkfc, notably the beautifully haunting mural pictured below, which lives on the underpass leading to our High Falls neighborhood. Visit the link to see more amazing art....

Another postcard from the book Vintage Tweets: Suffrage Era Postcards by Carol N. Crossed, which tells the story women’s fight for the right to vote through a collection of over 400 vintage postcards. This card humorously addresses the role of Temperance, and important part of the Suffrage movement. You may purchase a book at https://squareup.com//the-susan-b-anth/item/vintage-tweets. All proceeds from book sales benefit the Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum.

I recently found this drawing and description of my job by our son Louis for school when he was a boy. Pretty much says it all. Plus note the big smile on my face. At least I hope it's meant to express happiness, and not just mis-applied lipstick.

In honor of this being "the year of the woman"--the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and Susan B.'s 200th birthday--over the next few weeks I will be posting a series of postcards from the book Vintage Tweets: Suffrage Era Postcards by Carol N. Crossed, which tells the story women’s fight for the right to vote through a collection of over 400 vintage postcards. This card depicting Susan B. Anthony was a "first day of issue" by the US Postal Service to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Women's Suffrage. To learn more or to purchase a book to support the Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum, visit susanbanthonybirthplace.org/

Following the successful publication of Outside Insights, we designed another book for nationally syndicated columnist Patrick C. Burke. This short, delightful book, Father to Son / Son to Father, is based on a series of letters written between the author and his son every Christmas. It captures the essence of the growth of their relationship over a 20-year period, and serves as inspiration to others in developing deep and healthy relationships with young people. Cover illustration by Stefan Tur / [email protected]. It is available in both English and Spanish at: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/shoppingcart

Change is healthy! We've had great fun over the years creating Spirit, Midtown Athletic Club's member magazine. We recently redesigned the magazine for Chicago's signature club, and this issue is dedicated to the Midtown heroes in our everyday lives. As we wait for the clubs to reopen following the COVID-19 pandemic, you can be inspired by viewing stories in the current magazine, as well as other issues here: midtown.com/blog

We designed this book, Vintage Tweets: Suffrage Era Postcards, which tells the story of 19th and early 20th century women’s fight for the right to vote through a collection of over 400 vintage postcards. Carol Crossed, the book’s author, is president of the Susan B Anthony Birthplace in Adams MA. She owns a vast collection of vintage postcards (tweets from another time) for and against the suffrage cause, which are by turns artful, funny, sarcastic, ironic, informative, per...suasive and charmingsometimes all of the above! The book was released in time for the opening of the National Women’s Suffrage Centennial August 26, 2019, which runs through 2020. The year celebrates the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution granting women the right to vote. 2020 is also the 200th birthday of Susan B. Anthony, born February 15, 1820. You may purchase a book at https://squareup.com//the-susan-b-anth/item/vintage-tweets. All proceeds from book sales benefit the Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum. See more

We recently had the honor of designing this book about the inspiring life story of Sister Grace Miller, the founder of The House of Mercy in the heart of Rochester, NY. The book was authored by Hank Shaw, with a cover illustration by Sarah Keane. All proceeds from the sale of this book directly support the important work of The House of Mercy in helping the homeless of Rochester. http://houseofmercyrochester.org/
