Happy Black History Month! Mil Mundos is excited to celebrate Black History Month and honor the legacy of the Black diaspora across the world. Throughout the month we will be promoting book bundles of our favorite visionary Black writers! ... To kick off: recently back in stock is Outside the XY, the incredible anthology by @bklynboihood that examines and affirms masculinity outside of cisgendered manhood. Check out their IG, they are incredible! At center is the essential collection of essays and speeches that is Sister Outsider, from poet, mother, lesbian, cancer survivor and activist Audre Lorde. This classic edition got a new book cover last year, featuring the incredible artwork of painter and illustrator @alexis.eke. One of the most exciting new titles of this year, we are very excited to share with you Black Buck, the debut novel from @askmateo. Comically dark, sharp-witted and sly, Askaripour explores race and ambition with all the subversion we needed to jump off 2021. We have more on the way so stay tuned to see what’s up next!

¡¡MIRAAAAA!! How proud are we of Elisabet book cover is out and preorders are available now on our website! Link in bio! Meet Sarai. Sarai is a first-generation Puerto Rican eight grader who can see with clarity the truth, pain, and beauty of the world both inside and outside her Bushwick apartment. Together with her older sister Estrella, she navigates the strain of family traumas and the systemic pressures of toxic masculinity and housing insecurity in a rapidly gentrif...ying Brooklyn. Sarai questions the society around her, her Boricua identity, and the life she lived with determination and an open heart, learning to celebrate herself in a way that she has been denied. #milmundos #milmundosnyc #bushwick #brooklyn #newyorkcity #nyc #newyork #elisabet #elisabetvelasquez #whenwemakeit #shopindie #supportlocal #apoyolocal #apoyolatinx #latinx
