Rhodochrosite specimen from the Wessels mine, Hotazel, Northern Cape Province, South Africa. The specimen measures 3.00 x 2.11 x 1.00 inches or 7.62 x 5.35 x 2.55cm and comes with a former label from OBG International, formerly of Green Valley, Arizona. The OBG label indicates this to be from the noted collector Charlie Key The rhodochrosite, as seen in the video of the backside, was formed atop negative casts of presumed calcite. The shallow vug on the surface is blanketed by beautiful pink rhodochrosite. The Wessels mine is a world famous mineral locality Collection of Mineral Wonders
