So you took the courage and went for the Big Chop and now you're FINALLY a curly woman! However, something doesn’t add up. Your hair doesn't look like you thought it would and there's no leave-in or styling cream that can replicate that perfect definition you saw online. Honestly, social media can create unrealistic expectations of what it should be. After a Big Chop, it's normal to feel afraid, confused, and even regretful. It’s part of the process of learning how to ta...ke care of your new hair, especially if you're new on the natural path. Here are 3 tips to beat that stage: 1. Give yourself some time: Allow yourself a couple of weeks to understand, know and love your new hair. 2. Stay away from dyes!: You might feel an urge to fix it with a different look, but when you don't know your hair, a chemical process is only going to make things worse. 3. Change your social media habits. Forget about content in which you don't feel represented. Spend your time online in spaces that make you feel better about yourself. Have you experienced this before? What did you do to overcome it and love your pajon? Tell us below!
