From our esteemed panel of judges for The Spring 2021 Full-Length Playwriting Contest, Mixing It Up Productions would like to introduce you to: FRANK ZUBACK In theater, Frank has had the great privilege of working on a number of shows and projects with the late director Tom O’Horgan. He was the Lead Producer for Moolah, a dark comedy by Arje Shaw, and in development are: Taking Leave by Nagle Jackson and Roof of the World by D. Tucker Smith, among others. In addition, ...Mr. Zuback has had a long, successful, and varied career in the music and entertainment industry. Some included working with such luminaries/productions as the Tony Awards, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and 24 years as a consultant to Radio City Music Hall Productions/Madison Square Garden Entertainment. He currently reads, judges and selects play submissions for several competitive reading series, including Mixing It Up’s 2021 Full-Length Playwriting Contest. See more

CALLING ALL PLAYWRIGHTS AND THEATER DIRECTORS!!! This amazing nonprofit organization is mentoring young kids in playwriting and directing... The directing mento...ring can be done virtually online so being in NYC is not a requirement (the playwrighting, however would need to be done onsite in Red Hook Brooklyn) ... if you're able to donate a small amount of time to help mentor and nurture the next generation of playwrights, let me know OR email at: [email protected] Plays are usually no longer than 15 mins and time commitment ranges from a few hours to a few days. The writing workshop will be held: Saturday May 22nd, from 12pm-6pm in Red Hook. Rehearsals will be: Saturday June 5 & 12 (approximately 4 hours each day). Additionally, there will be a tech rehearsal over two evenings (1 hour each) between June 15 & 17. Performances will be June 18 & 19. The Plays will most likely be performed LIVE via ZOOM **************** Falconworks Theater Company is a small non-profit community theater in Red Hook and For the past 20 years, they’ve run a youth playwriting program called "Off the Hook" and its success depends in large part on finding creative and generous volunteers!
