WCPD / Mount Kisco Precinct Our patrol officers in Mount Kisco checked out some of the students' costumes at the Mount Kisco Elementary School Halloween parade ...yesterday. Looks like we have a couple of potential recruits in the mix! Our thanks to Mayor Picinich, who was a special guest at the event, for sharing these photos with us. More great Halloween shots of the terrific kids and staff at MKES are on the Bedford CSD Facebook page! You'll even find a bonus WCPD photo if you check it out.

WCPD / Mount Kisco Precinct IF IT LOOKS LIKE A DUCK, AND QUACKS LIKE A DUCK... ....IT'S A DUCK! On June 22, PO Forsythe, assigned to our Mount Kisco Precinct, r...esponded to a call on Main Street of two ducklings trapped in a storm drain. Officer Forsythe was the perfect Cop for this job... the challenge... getting them out. He requested the assistance of the Mount Kisco Department of Public Works and the Mount Kisco Fire Department. Together, they all worked for over an hour to get the ducks out of the drain. The ducklings were placed in an open top box for over an hour and a half and despite their peeping, mom never returned. After a hungry cat started snooping around, Forsythe took the little Wood Ducks home. As luck would have it, Officer Forsythe and his family own ducks and chickens and had everything needed to temporarily care for the ducklings. The Forsythe’s turned over KISCO and COPPER to their local, licensed, waterfowl rehabilitation expert at Trevor Zoo in Millbrook NY where they will be raised with several other rescued ducks around the same age before being released into the wild. Great teamwork by WCPD, MKFD and MK DPW! We wish many future happy quacks for Kisco and Copper!
