The young red-shouldered hawk came to visit too. Sadly, he landed behind the tree, so I did my best to shoot through branches. ID notes I am going with RSH because of the size, brown eyes, not the yellow of a young cooper, and the size of the middle toe being the same as the other and not longer an indication of coopers.

This beauty came yesterday before the snow started to fall. I think it is a young Red-tailed Hawk The coloring on its head and nape were amazing the photos do not do it justice.
