ATTENTION NYC BASED PLAYWRIGHTS! THERE ARE STILL A FEW SLOTS OPEN for the 10 week session of the Modern-Day Griot Theatre CompanyPlaywrights Lab starting this Tuesday. The sessions are Tuesday nights 4/3-6/5 from 7-10pm at South Oxford Space. The cost is only $75 and there is an option to participate in a public staged reading (at no cost to you) at the end of the session.... This is not a class, it is a peer reviewed lab led by playwrights Stephanie Bok and Pharah Jean-Philippe designed to help early to mid-career playwrights develop one work for the stage over the ten weeks. We have a robust roster of talented actors who are invited to read and fellow playwrights give feedback. In order to be considered, we ask for a short writing sample from a play you have written or are working on, a brief bio and a statement describing of the piece you intend to work on during the lab.
