Live life, for others cannot. This is my first time posting about September 11th. Everybody in NY remembers where they were when it happened . I’m no exception. I was in HS social studies class at FDR in Bensonhurst. That was the first time I ever saw the look of fright and worry on the faces of adults. We were nearly immediately released to a subway system that was shut down. I was a kid from Williamsburg with no money and no way to get home. As I traversed the stairs to lea...ve, I felt horror go through me, not knowing what to do or where to go. Most of us didn’t have cell phones at the time and I definitely didn’t have quarters. I was crossing the lobby to leave when there he was, my big brother Danny @mojeto1 . Up until that point I had always been the annoying little brother, and him the cool big bro. In that moment I saw an eternal shift. I saw the look of utter shock mixed with the warmest love one can convey with their eyes. He drove us back home through chaotic streets (the traffic lights weren’t working). I was so overwhelmed up in sensory overload when I noticed what appeared to be clouds, and snow falling everywhere. That moment quickly dissipated at I realized it was smoke and pieces of paper falling to the ground. New York was forever changed in an instant. We lost a lot of our own and my heart still aches for those lives cut too short. Then it happened. We forgot about race and all of the things that people perceive to separate us, and became New Yorkers. We banded together to honor those we lost. Ad Astra Per Aspera - To the stars through difficulty. I love New York. I was born and molded here. There’s no place on Earth like it and it has to be home, because it’s where my heart is. See more

These past few months have been trying to say the least, but I’m over the moon to announce that I’M OPEN! It’s been a long time and I know the quarantine aches and pains may have taken hold. Masks will be required for now, but it’s still the best soft tissue work in Brooklyn. All the best to all of you out there.
