This day @ 2.05 pm in Daisy Hill Hospital, Dylan James McKenna Gunn came roaring into the world. 18 years later he’s ready to go out and conquer it. Happy 18 th Birthday Dylan, thank you for these 18 fantastic wonderful years. We are beyond proud of everything you have accomplished and the mature young lad you’ve become. Keep aiming high and be true to yourself . Son, we love you!

The future is in good hands. Congratulations to this amazing group of lads( St Agnes ‘17),who will graduate from their High Schools this weekend. We wish them and all seniors Gods Speed as we parents, cut the cord and send them off on their next journey. May their guardian angels work overtime to protect our lads.

Congratulations to all seniors graduating High School. It’s definitely been a year with a difference, but you did it. Special congratulations to Dylan and the Regis Class of ‘21. So proud of you, love you son.

It’s back, our famous Seafood Chowder. Chunks of seafood in a rich cream broth. Topped with a puff pastry crust.

Thank you to the Town of Hempstead for the large box of PPE. They handed out many boxes to small businesses like Monaghans yesterday. It was very generous and very much appreciated. Together we will get through this. Thank you, kathleen, Niall & Dylan.

Thank you to the mysterious rock painter. This beautiful hand painted stone was found outside our restaurant door on Wednesday. It is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you. Brigid’s Garden is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Thank you all for your continued support and getting us through this difficult tine. Hopefully in the not too near future we will hug again, shake hands and regale one another with stories of how we survived!

You can’t keep the Irish down. We took our old wheelbarrow down from home which kathleen filled with flowers. Now we’re ready for the next phase with inside dining. Looking forward to seeing all friends

Father’s Day started off so badly with Brigid’s garden getting vandalized. What a difference a day makes! Thank you all for your offers to help and words of encouragement, a special thank you to Eileen Schwagerl for what you did. Thank you Joy for the beautiful flowers. Everyone’s words of encouragement is what has kept us going, thank you. Rockville Centre is home to us. I always say the only thing better than Monaghans is our clientele who are our friends.

We survived the Coronavirus, did our best to support the community and send food to our frontline workers. With the help of fantastic friends, we made Brigid’s Garden, a nice place to meet and eat. So you can imagine our disappointment when we arrived at work today to find some vandals had emptied the flowers, broke the lights and the American Flags. It’s Father’s Day, not quite the gift I wanted.

Thank you Lord for another lovely day in Rockville Centre. I’m so happy to see so many of our friends back dining at our new outside spot: Brigid’s Garden.
