The Montgomery County SPCA, in accordance with mandated state and federal safety guidelines, is slowly and carefully reopening. For everyone's safety, we are limiting the number of visitors in the building. You are welcome to come to the shelter during open hours. You must wear a mask. ***Update - he’s home!*** Lost cat - St Johnsville. His name is socks and he's extremely skittish so if anyone does see him they should not approach him. He was last steen by Allen heights road in st. Johnsville about three days ago.

Water update! Thank you to those who donated to our repairs. We are about 25% to our $2000 goal so keep those donations coming! Thank you, too, to all who rushed to our rescue to donate water! ***WATER UPDATE*** First, we would like to thank everyone who helped in this situation between donating water, empty jugs, money donated for buying water, and our volunteers who picked up and washed our laundry for us!! We had over 100 gallons of water donated which gave us the ability to provide care for our animals yesterday and today. THANK YOU! Second, we have had the water situation diagnosed. We have to replace our water pump along with materials related to the water pu...mp. The shelter is now facing an estimated $2000 bill for this necessary repair. If you are able to donate at this time to help cover this cost it would be greatly appreciated! We will have our water restored by the end of today.
