The expression ‘stop and smell the roses’ is not just about the (even though they are absolutely glorious!)- but rather how to live life with a deeper appreciation of the world around us. It’s a reminder to slow down and notice the little things that make life worthwhile. Can you take some time on this beautiful day to & the , both literally and metaphorically?

Do you choose to blend in or stand out? We have many reasons for picking each. Sometimes we blend in out of fear of being different, or we try to stand out as a way to win approval of others. However I would encourage reflecting on a different question all together. Rather than benchmarking ourselves to others we should instead ask ‘are we being true to ourselves?’... I recommend that you remain curious and mindful of the times you’re compromising who you are for the sake of others. You deserve to be loved just the way you are See more

When there’s a day when we don’t want to get out of bed, how do we know when we should persevere or listen to our body and take some time off? While society conditions us to choose the former, I urge you to take note of how often you are feeling this way. It’s a powerful sign to pay attention to and see if we need to make any adjustments in our life (work, relationships, interests, etc.) and carve out some more time to take care of ourselves and recharge!

Who are you recovering for? If the answer to that question doesn’t include yourself, you might want to take a pause and reconsider how sustainable your recovery can truly be. While it can be incredibly motivating and necessary to have loved ones and professionals help you stay on the road to recovery, you must ultimately want it for yourself. Motivation and a desire to recover must come from YOU, not from others or for others.... You deserve it See more

Today I affirm to slow down, allow my mind and body to rest, and to immerse myself in whatever the day brings What do you affirm for yourself today?!
