Our market is closed but we are happy to share our leftovers! Thankful for the plentiful squash crop and the food banks who help feed those in need.

LAST DAY at Half Acre! We still have apples, pumpkins, squash and baked goods available. Come in your costume for a free apple! Tomorrow we will be cleaning up (no baking)so your last chance to stop in 11:00am-2:00pm Sunday.

Eat SQUASH! It comes in many shapes but all are nutritious, delicious and easy to prepare...shown are Honeymut, Delicata, Festival, Acorn, Mashed potatoes, Spaghetti and Blue Hubbard. Cut in half, scoop out seeds, bake skin side up in shallow pan of water til fork pierces easily, flip over and add seasoning- salt and pepper, butter, maple or brown sugar, Parmesan... Trouble cutting hard squash? Try microwaving or baking whole for a short time to make it tender then cut through and scoop out seeds- continue baking as shown.

Hailee Smith has been working hard all season at Half Acre and is our worker of the week! She loves the cooler weather and all that comes with it...fall favorites like Honeycrisp apples and our homemade Butternut Squash soup, cozy jackets, hunting (especially waterfowl) and spending time with family and friends. Thank you Hailee for your get it done attitude and for being part of our Half Acre team!
