Moriah Vol. Fire Department

Last night 3 of our members continued learning the ins and outs of firefighting. Last night they practiced donning and doffing their gear, worked with fire extinguishers and lastly worked on some forcible entry! Keep up the great work Kayla Clark, Cole Glebus and Jacob Gilbert. Ofcourse thank you to the instructors!

In this picture, 3 of Moriah's younger members along with members from other surrounding departments are learning how to set up a drafting site. This is used when we dont have a sufficient water supply. We set up portable ponds as shown below and Tankers shuttle water from another source! We can also draft straight out of ponds, lakes, streams etc. The future looks bright! Keep up the good work Kayla Clark, Cole Glebus and Jacob Gilbert! Last night we were dipatched to Essex for a structure fire, yes Essex! A few of our fireman geared up and helped shuttle loads of water to supply mainly Keeseville Ladder and South Plattsburgh Ladder along with interior ops! It was definetly cool working on the same scene as Peru and South Plattsburgh! Thoughts and prayers go out to the owner. Great job to all companies involved.

Engine 252, a 2020 Fort Garry Fire Trucks Engine Tanker with 1500 gallons of water, has been delivered to the Moriah Vol. Fire Department. Thank you for choosing Vander Molen Fire!

Today our new Engine 252 was delivered! We are beyond happy and beyond thankful for our community's support, wouldnt have happened without all of you! So a big thank you to the Town Of Moriah Fire District, and also a big thank you to Vander Molen Sales and Services and Fort Garry Fire Trucks!
