I had the privilege a few months ago to work with our local Cornell Cooperative Extension to produce a short video about agriculture in the class room for Elementary and middle school students. We covered all aspects of maple, but this excerpt was geared towards more value added, primarily maple candy because we made sure all the class rooms had samples of candy to try. Sorry for the delay on the post, but things have been changing with the state fair order. Tomorrow we will once again be producing around 300 lbs of maple candy from 8-3. When it’s too cold to work outside might as well make some maple candy in our certified kitchen.

Had some time this evening to change a few drop lines, didn’t realize how much it snowed until I made it to the truck and had to sweep off a foot of snow or more off the truck.

We bought precut drop lines from #widrickmaple this year to save some badly needed valuable time. Put on our seasonal spout of choice and will be starting to replace our drop lines for Maple 2021. A lot of things still up in the air about Maple Season 2021, but one thing we do know is Winter will end and the Sap will flow and we will be making our award winning Maple Syrup and value added products.
