Mother Shuckers Cornhole League

Happy Hump Day Mother Shuckers. We're going to kick off the Summer Wed Night Open night tonight at the Airport Inn (2166 Airport Rd, Binghamton, NY). Anyone can play, registration begins at 6pm, you will not need a partner but do bring your friends. We'll be featuring the Switcholio format powered by Scoreholio. Entry fee per person is $5, we will pay it all back out at the end of the night. I promise it is a LOT of fun, it's the fairest way to encompass all levels of play and still have fun. Mike and I will be up there around 5:30pm to set up - tell your friends, spread the word, let's get a great turnout for night one. PS: It is still hovering around the low 60's high 50's today so when the sun goes down up on the mountain it's gonna get a little chilly so bring warmer layers for later on. And Don't be a maskhole, bring your mask, the State is still requiring masks for situations like going inside the building or where you can't social distance, etc.

Good Monday Morning Mother Shuckers. Hopefully y'all got your coffee, your run, or whatever it is you need to do in the morning to wake up and take on the day. The weather is looking a bit better for the next week plus, so we'll plan to be at The Airport Inn on Wed night for the first Open Night of the summer season. Registration 6 - 6:30 pm bags to fly around 6:45 pm.

Well Mother Shuckers, it's with great sadness we're going to have to put our first Open Night off till next week. We've waited as long as we can and it's still drizzling and now sprinkling a little harder up at the Airport Inn. We know once the sun goes down, with the temps already in the chilly dept it's gonna get quite a bit colder, so, let's shoot for next week to kick off our first season at the Airport Inn. ;o)

Hellooooo Mother Shuckerrrrrrrrs! ;o) Looking a little dreary right now for tonight's "Open Night" kickoff at the Airport Inn, but. the rain looks like it should be done by around 2pm. So we'll hold off till around 4pm to make a decision and see if the rain stops and things begin drying some. So be sure to check back later this afternoon. I see we have a lot of new faces who've liked the page recently. Thanks for joining the greater Binghamton Cornhole community. Don't laugh, that's no bullshit. It's something that has grown so quickly on a global level that even the Olympic committee has n...o choice but to seriously consider this for future Olympic events already. The growing rise in popularity is no mystery. It's a game ANYONE can play. No matter your age, your physical condition - hell, you can Google our buddie Dayton Webber. We'll wait.......... That's right Mother Shuckers - a man with NO ARMS and NO LEGS can whoop! your! ass! at cornhole. That's why the ACL (The folks you see on ESPN) adopted the "Anyone Can Play" slogan. And it's true, anyone really can play and that is what sold me on this game personally. Matter of fact - one of the very best shooters in the world (He's currently #1 in ACL Pro Singles) is a Senior Citizen, Daymon Dennis. Or take a peek at the little homie - Trevor Caballero - at 4 years old he was already taking on some of the best shooters in the world and throwing down with them and challenging Patrick Mahomes to a match after his All State commercial featured him throwing some bags like he got game - this lil homie really HAS game. Google him and trick shots. And then you got the awe inspiring story that is Dayton Webber. All of these guys have played at the top levels of this game. 4 years old, 80 years old, Quadruple amputee! Then you have the ladies/women of cornhole like Stacia Pugh and Kamryn Belvin for example. Two of the top players in the world. And that's just two of the ladies - there's dozens more who could whoop all of us. :oP It really is a beautiful thing to find a game that anyone can play. Any age, young or old. Physically fit or physically handicapped. Tall and skinny or short and stout. Anyone can play. With some practice, a dash of desire - anyone can get better too. Everyone of those folks at one point couldn't hit the board consistently. We all start somewhere. ;o) We look forward to seeing you all on the boards soon.

Just want to say Happy Thanksgiving to all our Mother Shuckers near and far. We hope everyone is enjoying their thanksgiving in whatever way you feel is best for you and your situations during this Crazy Turkey Day 2020. Hopefully one day again soon we'll be permitted to get back to throwing bags. Till then, you all know we're around and available if you ever need an ear and for all your cornhole needs. ;o) We're thankful and very grateful for each and every one of you. Tha...t said we hope you all take a break from stuffing bags in holes and make some time to stuff some good food and spirits into your own pie holes. ;oP Now get out there and Gobble till ya wobble, . Thought we should share a great video by ACL Pro Anthony Ayon on how to throw the roll and flop shots and why. He pays homage to our buddie Tony Smith throughout the video and for good reason - he's probably the most consistent person I've seen throw these shots. Tony was gracious enough to show me how he throws the roll when we got to play together a few weeks back. It's a great shot to have in your arsenals. ;o)

Happy Saturday Mother Shuckers..... Hope this finds everyone doing well. Well it's been some time since we've been allowed to throw some bags together and that is going to, unfortunately, be extended indefinitely. With everything going on around us it is simply not feasible to run a league this fall and very likely this winter. While that may seem a bit unfortunate, we'd much rather be around to do this again when we can than to recklessly endanger any of our Mother Shuckers... or the wonderful places we could have opportunities to grow with in the future. We will touch base periodically here and if any of our cornhole community is ever having a hard time with things in this very interesting period we find ourselves living in, you can always reach out to myself (Kenny) or Mike or most any in our community and we'd be more than happy to talk with you or just simply listen.
