Silberman MSWSN are excited to pass the torch to new leaders and organizers. The bonds we’ve built in this group are strong and we hope students at Silberman interested in organizing and macro social work will get as much out of this group membership as we have. The Legislative Education and Advocacy Day or LEAD is an opportunity for Social Work Students to experience the legislative process through the canvassing for two NASW causes: Banning Conversion therapy #BornPerfect and the Social Workers Investment Initiative #InvestinSocialWork. Join us Wednesday March 21st in Albany as we raise our voices together, there will be transportation to and from Silberman School of Social Work, and lunch provided. AYYYE WE DID IT! Still reeling from #CommonTime yesterday. Seeing all of our ideas, hard work, and commitment come to full fruition yesterday was so gratifying. What was even better was getting to organize, share knowledge, and laugh (a lot) with these beautiful people for the past couple months.
