This is our cemetery work truck. As you can see, it is falling apart and safety is an issue. This year we really were unable to do our normal fundraising so finances are tight. If you have a truck that you are thinking of getting rid of and would like to donate it to the cemetery, we would be more than grateful. Prefer a 4 wheel drive truck w/extended cab. With or without plow. If interested please call Dave Smith at 315 -592-7338.

Hard to believe September is almost over. 2020 at times seems like it will never end, however here we are, just a few days away from October. Just a reminder that all decorations must be removed from all cemetery plots by October 5th. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Where is the the oldest maintained cemetery in the United States?????? According to the American Cemetery Association, the oldest maintained cemetery in the United States is Myles Standish Burial Ground in Duxbury, Massachusetts!! The 1.5-acre (0.61 ha) burying ground is the final resting place of several well-known Pilgrims who arrived on the Mayflower in 1620, including Captain Myles Standish.

What is the oldest Cemetery in New York State??? The oldest established cemetery is the one at Trinity Church in downtown Manhattan, which was probably being used as early as the 1660s, although the oldest gravestone, belonging to Ann Churcher is dated 1691. The church has seen much throughout the years; notably, it sustained absolutely no damage during the 9/11 terrorist attacks (the World Trade Centers were built across the street). It became a makeshift relief camp, with volunteers from around the country setting up shop to serve food to rescue workers for several months after the attacks.

Part of what makes Mt. Adnah so special are the beautiful trees. However, they are old and need much care. The wind Saturday brought many large section of the old trees down. If you would like to make a donation to our Tree Care Fund, please mail your donation to Mt. Adnah Cemetery, 706 East Broadway, Fulton NY 13069. Please remember all donations are tax deductible.
