The first Sunday of 2021 was marred by gun violence at the Starrville Methodist Church, in Winona, Texas. Senior Pastor, Rev. Mark Allen McWilliams was shot and killed at his church by a man sought by the police who had taken shelter in the building. Three others, including the gunman, were hurt. You can learn more about the fatal January 3rd shooting here. As we continue the important work to end gun violence and build safe cities, we invite you to attend a National Memorial... Service for Rev. Mark Allen McWilliams, on Wednesday January 6, 2020 at 3pm - 4pm EST. You can join us via ZOOM with other clergy around the country here. Tragedy should not go unnoticed. We have created a strong platform for clergy to become more involved in their cities through the national coalition Clergy for Safe Cities. Let us be the change as we pray and strategize for safer cities. We look forward to your attendance and prayerful support.

Day 2- In His Presence! Sit and be still in God's Presence today. He longs to spend quality time with you today. It may mean that you have to go to bed 30 minutes or so earlier- just to give you an extra 30 minutes in the morning. Or maybe spend 30 minutes less on social media to give you an extra 30 minutes for lunch to say your daily affirmations and read your devotions.... Whatever you decide, just write it down in your journal so you can commit to it. The main goal today is to bask in His presence. Get used to just sitting and listening. Day 2: Prayer For Wisdom Father, May I receive Your wisdom and understanding. May my eyes be enlightened to know Your purpose and plan for my life. (See Eph 1:17-18). Affirmation Day 2- Declare it! God has given me insight & wisdom into His plan for my life. Therefore, I can see and hear clearly as He speaks to me today. (See Daniel 9:22) Repeat these throughout the day when you're tempted to do or eat something you're fasting from. Speak these powerful word out loud over your day. Happy Fasting! Happy Listening!
