Creating safe spaces for instructors is/was also an important piece of my intent in all my gyms. . . Instructors are hardly paid fairly nor treated well by big gyms & are sometimes abused by clients. .... . We always shared a 50/50 split with personal trainers and did our best to pay our women instructors fairly and equally. . . Although MANY clients asked for discounts and classpass devalued our industry - had people thinking paying $15 for a $40 class was acceptable lol . . Instructors need to be/feel valued and respected and protected as well. I still do everything in my power to make sure of this. Even if it means firing an abusive client or the studio makes $0. . .
