Sad news and asking for prayers. Paul was a neighbor and friend of Harriet. We have helped him and his family before with food. His wife was in her hometown of Fort Portal for the voting when Paul got a high fever last night. They took him to hospital but he was gone in a few hours. Don't know what the fever was from. Please pray for his children as they grieve their dad. And safe travels for his wife as she tries to get back to Kampala. Thank you.

Some days it is so hard to know what to write here. My heart is absolutely breaking and yet so full of thanksgiving at the same time. It constantly amazes me how God is using this little ministry to change so many lives. So, with a thankful and crying heart I share these pictures and stories. First picture is of Jamilah, she is friends with Jackline and they are staying together. Jamilah has a baby that Harriet found to be very sick with diarrhea. An emergency situation, so H...arriet gave her money for treatment. Please pray that her baby will get better. Harriet had gone there to check on Jackline and her baby, Gideon. Gideon was born with a big head. The father ran away because he couldn't handle the idea he had a disabled child. Jackline loves her baby, as much as all new parents love their children. But, the community treats him like he is contagious, even to not wanting to share a laundry line with his clothes... She is washing people's clothes to try to survive. She asked Harriet about a stroller to make it easier to go to the doctor. Gideon is going to need surgery or his head will continue to get bigger. Jackline said "I can't believe this, what a blessing! My child, who no one loves, God is showing His Glory through my child. Thank you with alot of tears of Joy." While Harriet was there visiting with Jamilah and Jackline another mother came running up to Harriet and begged for help. Her daughter Phiona had broke her arm before and had surgery to set it and put pins in. But now the pins need to come out and they don't have the money for that surgery. They are worried that if the pins don't come out it will cause trouble. Harriet did not have funds to give her then but prayed with her and passed the information to us. We will do what we can as God leads. Lastly, Harriet went to visit Aunt Rose and her little boy Sadati. His parents took off because of his disability. He is not doing well, he had malaria and pneumonia. Harriet gave money for medical attention for that and for an overall doctor exam. He has a weak neck and probably will need some kind of brace. We will see what the doctor says and go from there. We are so blessed to be able to help these dear souls. Now they know God sees them and loves them. Thank you. See more

Well, finally the election internet blackout is over in Uganda. Things are still very volatile there as many people do not believe that the election was fair. At the moment people can move about again but it is very unstable. Please pray for safety for our Ugandan co-workers as they minister to the huge need of so many. It is still very dangerous for them to be out. We were able to feed some destitute women and children during the blackout. Praise God! Today Harriet went to v...isit Fatuma's daughter who gave birth during the blackout. She is in hospital and the situation is aweful. She had nothing.... Through God's provision, using Mukama Afayo Uganda, Harriet gave help, hope and words of wisdom and prayer. I am going to post Harriet's words about her trip to me below. Please, please do not stop praying for us and the work in Uganda. "Hey, my sister, praying you are all in good health. I was able to go to Kawempe referral hospital. I dont know when corruption in Uganda will stop. I had to pay 10,000 schilling to allow me to get in because it was not time for visitors! But I got there, Fatuma was in tears, They had nothing at all. Imagine some one who had been operated on and she had only a bottle of coke to feed her. No dress, neither bed sheets or blanket. I had to cover her with with my scarf I had.The baby had only an old blanket. No bensen neither a bucket. No pad. I had bought some drinks, bucket of omo, soap ,sugar, tea, packed milk and food. We had to go out with Fatuma to get bed sheets,lesu/ wrap around, bensen and water. Tomorrow I will have to get baby clothes, dresses for adult and other requirements. She was so grateful ,thank you again and again for the help. She was crying to Fatuma "how they will fit in the small house?" I had to give counseling to her. It is hard time but we have to thank the Lord, that the birthing process went successfully." A very humble thank you to you who have given. God bless you.

Praise God pastor Castro has made it back to his family. But, The landlord basically met him at the door and told him they needed to pay rent or get kicked out. We are trying to raise 250 so they can have a place to live. Please pray and ask God if you are to help them. Thank you!

There is not much that I can say right now, I simply beg you to pray for Uganda. Things are extremely bad there with the upcoming elections. These three ladies each have disabled babies and we were able to help them with food. Jackline is in the blue dress, Aunt Rose is in the red and yellow, and Doreen has her premi baby on her back. They are all in desperate situations that we were able to ease for the moment. They are very thankful.
