Congratulations to PhD candidate Pallas Catenella Riedler for receiving the coveted Eastman TA Prize for her course "Myths, Music, and Manipulated Realities, 1750-1880." Well done, Pallas!

At last week's AMS-NYSSL Chapter Meeting, Ph.D. student Emmalouise St. Amand won the prize for best paper by a graduate student for her paper "Listening in Lycra: Jazzercise Records and the Race of the Slender Body." Congratulations, Emmalouise!

Congratulations to Jane Sylvester, who in addition to defending her dissertation in March, has just accepted a position as a music faculty member of the Renbrook School in West Hartford, CT. Brava, Jane!
