The hardest part of losing my mom ( Yvonne Carey ) is knowing what she went through the last month of her life and knowing she should still be here with us. Kenmore Mercy Hospital failed her in so many ways. My mom went into the hospital on Friday March 26th for a simple blood transfusion. They withheld her blood thinners and she ended up having mini strokes on Saturday. I begged them to put her back on them but they refused. She ended up having a major stroke at 5 am Sunday ...morning (my mom told the nurse on duty), they did not call a stroke code until 2 pm that day which was then too late to do anything about it. The nurses claimed they didn’t know but were in the room when I called my mom at 8 am and she was frantic saying she couldn’t move her left side, and she was supposed to be on stroke watch every hour. And she also had to go for an endoscopy at 8:30 so they should have known then when they took her. For hospitals of all places to not do certain tests on the weekend is so absurd to me, you should be able to get whatever is needed for your life while at a hospital!She was moved down to the rehab floor where she was doing great 3 days later. Then they decided to give my mom 2 units of blood (she only receives 1 due to how small she is) and then proceeded to put her on an IV drip. Now causing my mom to have too much fluid. Which she ultimately ended up dying from. Her organs shut down due to the fluid yet the hospital kept blaming her cancer that had not gotten any bigger. And that is what they put on her death certificate. She also ended up having another stroke from the blood transfusion 2 days later that took her eye sight. So now mom was blind and couldn’t use the left side of her body which was her dominate side. They refused to let me be there other than visiting hours 2-6. Mom ended up getting delirium because she had nothing or no one to talk to or do for those hours that were not visiting hours. The drs lied and didn’t disclose things they should have even when I asked them point blank. This hospital failed her miserably and caused her death! And now my family and myself have to live without my beautiful amazing mom, and some how try to cope with the loss. Mom went into the hospital March 26th which should have been for a couple of hours and passed away a month to the day on April 26th. 4 days after bringing her home. See more

We were supposed to be on a plane to Hawaii right now. My moms dream trip I still have no words for the shock and devastation I feel over losing my best friend. Thank you to all who have reached out to me, I appreciate each and everyone of you. Please understand if I haven’t gotten back to you. I just have no words.

My heart is shattered in pieces. My best friend, the most amazing mom in the world has passed away. I don’t know what we are going to do without her. Thank you for all your prayers. She was the strongest and most lovable person in the world. She was my biggest fan and I was hers. I’m so lucky she was my mom.

We brought mom home from the hospital Thursday with hopes of things turning around for her. However, that was not the case. We are calling in hospice today to help her my heart is just shattered. I keep hoping and praying for a miracle.

Ladies and gents, you know that I do as much research as I can before ever bringing a new product into my nail studio. Recently, I’ve been looking for a new gel polish line. I am blown away by some of the ingredients that goes into some of these polishes! And they are popular brands! I found so many that were so bad I thought I should do a public service announcement! Please please ask your nail salon what they are putting on your nails! All nail salons are required to have S...DS ( safety data sheets) they are sometimes referred to as MSDS ( Material Safety Data Sheets). If they can’t supply them to you do not get your nails done there! Do you know what the number 1 warning I saw , May cause infertility or harm to an unborn child! In your nail polish! That’s scary! Please ask what they are putting on your nails! On another note, also against NYS law is the use of Cheese Graters ( foot files that can cut and cause blood pathogens to spread) and Pumice stones, they harbor bacteria which spreads from client to client because they are NOT sanitizable! And MMA monomer! Just thought I’d throw that in there too since it’s illegal in all states and countries but salons still use it because it sets faster and keeps nails on forever! If you can’t get your acrylics or dip powders off that is why! Please ladies and gentlemen go to a salon who cares about your well being as well as their well being! See more

Here are my new service menus Due to the increase cost of Sanitation supplies, I had to do a slight price increase on some services. With the price increases I also added additional products/services to those services as well. Please note: Efiling and advanced cuticle work will no longer be included in manicures and pedicures but can be purchased as an add on. If you have a gift certificate with a specific service listed they will be honored at the previous prices. Thank you for your continued support and understanding

I just want to take a moment to thank all my clients for their patience and understand during these past few months with me having to cancel or reschedule appointments due to my moms health related issues. I really appreciate all your thoughts and prayers My mom still has some battles to fight. I will be back in the salon the first week in February however I will only be taking appointments on Saturday’s and Sundays so that I can be with my mom for all of her Dr appointments. Thank you again for all of your patience, understanding, well wishes, and thoughts and prayers! They are very much appreciated
