Wild. My yard is wild. Since opening Caruso’s Cafe the focus of time and energy is so directed that anything in my peripheral world has become quite neglected. Yesterday, I took a slow long walk around my yard discovering the absolute beauty of the wild neglect. Even my garden is overflowing with vegetables, greens and flowers. What can we manifest when left to the wild part of ourselves? What can we create artistically, internally and personally when we allow the untouched... inner parts of the self to burst forth along with the groomed civilized parts? We create change my friends. We change ourselves and the world around us. We discover that the wild is a much needed catalyst for positive change. GRAND OPENING DAY IS JUST ONE DAY AWAY!! Friday at 7:00am we open our doors for good! Elvis will be on the radio and will he be in the house as well? Growing up... my mom listened to Elvis all the time and so did I! She had the essential velvet Elvis hanging on the wall so in honor of my Mom, Margaret Simons anyone that comes to the grand opening dressed as Elvis receives a free cookie and cup of coffee! Unfortunately, due to potentially strong thunderstorms, our Desserts & Songwriters fundraiser at Brew and Brats has been postponed until next Thursday 7/23.

The Private Pop Up Yoga classes have been a saving grace during these past few weeks. We have enjoyed the sounds of the world around us, laughed, cried, and found our connection to center. Being on the mat amongst bird calls, flowing water, honey bees, swaying trees, a breeze on muggy mornings has been such a blessing. Remember we are all connected from the bedrock to the Milky Way....after the Cafe opens I will start a weekly public pop up yoga class!

My dear Yoga family- Oh how life has changed. Last week I said goodbye to my Yoga Studio at 23 Mill St., I said goodbye to another semester at college for PTA and my family said Hello to a new venture! We will be opening a Cafe at 110 South Main St. in Naples late this summer! What a change from full time college to full time Cafe owner but this has been a dream of mine and Marks for a long time. The pandemic has shape shifted all of our paths, it has transformed our visions,... and has made many of us reevaluate how to move forward. I will be a traveling and pop-up Yoga Teacher! A new Yoga studio may grace our beloved town some day. Please know if you had any classes left on your class pass prior to quarantine I will be inviting you to pop up yoga when it becomes a steady class so you can use your pass! Packing up the studio was very surreal and I shed many tears. Moving forward teaching yoga has to look a little bit different. I hold all of you in my heart and look forward to reconnecting. Until then, keep your light bright, let the world see the helpers, keep the faith and remember to find harmony for your mind, body, and spirit every day in all the little ways. So many beautiful people I think of daily. Oh how my heart misses you all. I am here with you-Striving for the moments of peace amongst the heart wrenching chaos of humanity. I finished my first semester back at college with a 3.9 GPA and officially got my acceptance letter for the Physical Therapy Assistant Program. Life is throwing so many curveballs right now and my path is ever changing. I promise to meet you again on the mat in some fashion, somewhere, sometime where we ...can hold the space for healing, ignite the inner fire and cast light to the shadows. My mind was stretched by Chemistry, Biology, Gerontology.....but not as much as my heart is stretched right now with the hurt of the world. This purple allium called to me while the wisdom of Dr. Seuss read to my children over years gently brought me to smile. We will heal. We will be changed. We will all transition.
