Curtis and Norm were able to have a little fun yesterday morning. Not many birds coming in. Only managed to bring this group of geese off target to fly over us. On the side of Curts video, you can see Norms 2 birds fold up too.

Nature's Prize crew duck hunt day with Norm, Paul, Curtis and Dave. The cold hunt brought us a mixed bag of birds to include mallard, black duck, merganser and... goose. We saw lots of birds, but most had a different plan on where they wanted to be. Out with Trey this morning waiting for his buck, but slow so far besides a little spiker

Yesterday afternoon turned out to be completely different than the slower morning hunt. Having seen several smaller bucks on the move and chasing doe, this guy... finally showed to my left. Watching him at about 45 yards and realizing who he was, there were several nervous minutes of him easing closer and then angling to my front without any clear shots. Finally he crossed in front of me, I got him to stop and put the Swhackdown on him at about 30 yards. No tracking was needed, but taking it all in, taking pictures, dragging etc.. and celebrating a little made for a longer evening. Having trail camera pics of him and filming the hunt with my phone and Tactacam5.0 mounted to my bow made it even more special. We had a successful start to the 2020 duck season today! It’s always a tough decision when you’re a bow hunter and duck opens up... Nice cold morning. Hope everyone had a good day whether it was in the woods or on the water.
