A day filled with the thrilling joy of being with children
Nazareth College School of Education faculty Dr. Maria Hopkins and Dr. Shanna Jamanis, alongside graduate students Liza Beardsley, Caroline Hyman, Shaina Louis, and Eileen Shea, collaborate with professionals from TINA-an integrated therapy center for children with autism in Santiago, Dominican Republic on Literacy Supports for Children on the Autism Spectrum.

Tonight, Nazareth College had the privilege of learning from the amazing Liz Kleinrock as she shared her talk How to Be a Change-Maker, Not a Gatekeeper. Featured in these photos are Liz Kleinrock (on screen), Dr. Laura C. S. Jones, School of Education faculty and Director of the Frontier Center for Urban Education, and Hannah Geller, a graduate student in the inclusive childhood education program who introduced Liz and provided closing remarks.
The Nazareth College School of Education kicked off its Teacher’s Lounge Series today with Wondering How To Talk About White Privilege and Other Taboo Topics with the Students You Teach? This event was the first in a series of monthly events for students in teacher education programs. We will be hosting Liz Kleinrock next Thursday, February 20 4:30-6:00 in the Forum.
