Every man lives in two realms: the internal and the external. The internal is that realm of spiritual ends expressed in art, literature, morals, and religion. The external is that complex of devices, techniques, mechanisms, and instrumentalities by means of which we live. MLK, JR

We made up a new batch of goodies and formulas for the apothecary. We tested this formula on our friends and family and it’s potent and delicious. Get some! Thank you for the supporting all branches of ElderMoon School and Apothecary this year. It’s been a hard year but a pleasure serving the community. Many thanks. For those that have asked we will have that ElderMoon Dit Da Jow ready for 2021. Thanks for your patience. https://www.jennifercosta.net/store/p199/TF_-

Hi, we are open but only for private lessons and body work. Group classes are on hold until the pandemic is truly over. Have a wonderful holiday and keep training. Thanks to all my students and clients for their support through a truly difficult year and special thanks for supporting our sister business, the ElderMoon School of Earth Medicine and Apothecary.

Traditional martial arts teaching methods are often hidden, meaning that the student frequently doesn’t even realize that he or she is being taught, and observed. What may appear to be a mistake, a change, or even seems to lack all reason, may be by design. The teacher may even appear to not know something or how to explain it just so the student tries harder to figure it out on their own. A good instructor teaches even when the student doesn’t realize that they're being taug...ht. The student might even think he or she is teaching the teacher something, though it is actually all by design. I eventually learned that there is no use in telling a traditional teacher what it is you either think you should learn or want to learn, unless he or she asks that kind of arrogance comes when you confuse being a student with being a customer. Decide if you're there to learn something or to show the teacher that you know something, or know more than him/her after receiving very little instruction. Don't be blindly obedient, ask questions, but have a little faith, a good teacher wants you learn. When you're ready, you'll be taught. Decide if you can be taught. If a teacher asks you to go over what you think you already know, there's a reason. If a student has the nerve to tell a teacher to teach him something, and when to teach it, and not listen, it is very likely that he/she won’t teach that student anything, for a very long time, if ever.
