Just wanted to share most commonly asked question Sunday ... do you still have anything left for Mother’s Day ?? ...(in case today you are late to order for Mother’s Day and wondering .... or looking for other occasion arrangements today and week ahead) Pleasantly surprised were walk in and phone customers when we shared we have plenty of fresh flower stock with deliveries Friday and Saturday as well as gorgeous hanging baskets and plants ... All Mothers Day orders ...were made fresh and then sent out for delivery ! We were processing new product all weekend long in between taking orders -designing -delivering etc ! Heard many thanks from customers for being here and open for them ! When in reality we are the real lucky ones! So grateful to be open and able to offer service to old and new customers alike and for their orders and support ! Shout out to all those received product from Nelson’s for Mother’s Day just want pass along a tip or two The gorgeous hanging baskets we received on Friday direct from the greenhouse and sent out throughout the weekend have no doubt been wondering as have we , what happened to our cozy warm climate Hopefully moving forward forecast getting better to be able actually put them outside . The wrappers removed.... keep soil moist ( water at base of pot when dry, direc...tly in soil best as opposed to pouring over top to prevent mildew of leaves & blossoms ) dead head blossoms as needed and try to place where may receive some sunlight or indirect light As for vased arrangements of fresh flowers adding water as needed. Heard from a few customers how thirsty they have been . Attribute that to the freshness of flowers, arriving so frequent ... processing and then using soon after for your arrangements... as all orders were designed fresh and then delivered. Also you may change water & trim the bottom of the stems perhaps 3-5 day intervals to extend the life of your bouquet Lastly, for those that received a basket arrangement .... there is a liner inside which holds the oasis that the stems of the flowers are in and drink from . You should be easily able to use a finger to check the water level ... best to keep that liner with oasis filled with water to ensure all the beautiful stems have enough to drink Customers have told us that sometimes they take basket directly to sink to let water run through the oasis and then set aside to dry . Whatever works best to give you the longest lasting enjoyment of your gift of flowers We are happiest when our customers and their recipients are pleased . As always, thanks for your business !
