Greetings of the season from NYC with love from Anita Burns and the team at Altamont Warehouse Vocational Progran, the Hansen Cafe, and the NYC Clothing Bank. New Year Blessings to all!
---MEDIA ADVISORY--- SANTA, 100 NEEDY KIDS, INDOOR WINTER WONDERLAND, NEW TOYS & MORE FOR ALL -- SATURDAY! WHAT: In these tough economic times, many families throughout the five boroughs cannot afford warm coats, gloves and hats, let alone the gifts or decorations often enjoyed around the holidays. To bring these families the gift of warmth and help them experience the magic this season can bring, New York City Clothing Bank is hosting Candy Cane Village at its ...warehouse in Brooklyn. Underprivileged children will have the opportunity to create holiday crafts, meet Santa Claus, sample holiday treats, and receive personalized gifts including never-before-used clothes and toys. NYC Clothing Bank has worked with its network of non-profit agency partners to invite some of New York City’s neediest families to attend Candy Cane Village. Children will receive much needed warm clothing in their sizes as well as other gifts such as board games and age-appropriate toys.
