A good friend of mine who works as a college recruiter (D1, as well as networking with D2 schools) for the NY/NJ and PA area will be looking for the up and coming STUDENT ATHLETE and he asked me to assist him. I gave him a few names already and some of the names he has heard thrown around. (You never know who's watching) I will be approaching players and asking a few questions...name, school, age, d...ate of birth, weight, height, **GPA** and **FACEBOOK NAME**..(YES THEY ARE LOOKING) In addition there will be free tutoring in all subjects for the player/players he selects. Players selected have to be respectful, coachable, GPA of 80 plus and have a positive attitude. This is a great opportunity if you are serious about the next level after high school. Hotep..We did it, the New York War Chiefs Jr Mites eneded the season and the War Chiefs error with a great come from behind Super Bowl win, 31-25. One of the concepts of the War Chiefs was to do just that. Five Super Bowl appearance, three Super bowl champs. Three out of five is not bad. The Jr. Mite win was awesome but what I enjoyed the most about their win was the way they came/played together. It wasn't a Warrior thing or a Chief thing to the players, it was a team thing.... The players stuck together and didn't get mad or upset amongst themselves when it got rough, they came together and persevered as their opponents did the opposite. They showed unity and with all that's taking place in today's society, unity is something that we as adults in the world can work on because the children learn from what they see. I want to thank all the coaches and parents for your support whether you were in favor of the partnership or not, you gave it a chance and I believe the difference... is to make a difference. I also want to thank Joan, Gio, Sara Ann, Chandira, Jus, Alief, Wally, Opal, Sherri and the whole Brooklyn Chief coaches, staff/parents as well as the New York Warriors Mida, Mike, Fox (R.I.P.) staff/parents for the opportunity in getting the vision out. It's with great pleasure to announce the War Chiefs Jr. Mite division will be playing their last game as War Chiefs in the 2015 Empire Super Bowl this Sunday at Canarsie High School. Morning, Due to a prior personal obligation, I was unable to make last night emergency parent meeting. A player (Ms. Mida's son) that I have coached since he was a mighty mite and has looked up to me as a father figure since his father passed away. He played in his last high school game as an All star player in the Empire Challenge game, hosted by Boomer Esiason. My vice president had two deaths in the family and was not able to attend last nights meeting. Our apologies. As y...ou may already know there was a decision made to resurrect our respected organizations. I received the call last week about the decision from co president Jus. We consulted, evaluated/examined several administrative issues/concerns and last Tuesday incident between myself and two other individuals. We came to a mutual agreement to dissolve the New York War Chiefs. Jus and I never had a dispute with each other, we conducted ourselves with respect and agreed to disagree through out the entire partnership. I want to thank everyone in general, that gave this partnership support and I apologize for any inconveince this decision may have caused. It was great to have took part in something that worked. #2014 That 2014 season will be one of the greatest memory for me because it validated when a group of people with potential decide to work together and put differences aside, it demonstrated any goal is possible to achieve. #Blacklivesmatter #Superbowl #Florida I hold no ill will or malice toward any coach, parent especially players if they choose to play for the Brooklyn Chiefs, the New York Warriors or any other youth program. I want to thank everyone that came out to pay their respects to Coach Fox as well as his family the past two days. May we all take a page from coach Fox. He was fair, honest, Loyal, funny and encouraging and most of all A FRIEND.

The season is officially over but officially starts for those who want to get better. On behalf of the New York War Chiefs I would like to thank all the players, parents, coaches, administrators and sponsors who help make our inaugural season as War Chiefs a success. Moving forward and going into the 2015 season the theme is Discipline, Accountability and Responsibility on and off the field. I didn't get involved just to win games, get credit/accolades or to be seen. I got involved to show our youth something other than what they were seeing in their community and surrounding communities as far as the negative images. I want to take this time to say I'm thankful for all that God has blessed the two merging programs with. Are we perfect..no, do we always get it right..no, are we a work in progress..YES! I am also thankful for every encouraging word and show of support from others for what Jus and i and the rest of the staff are striving to do for our community in general and on a larger scale. I am also thankful for the negative things that transpired. You can't be an effective leader with ...out accepting the bad criticism and actions of others. Humility will win out at the end of the day. Jus and I and our coaching staff/administrators have been doing this thing a long time and we're still standing.
