It’s almost the weekend. Cheers to that! Hope everyone is hanging in there after this week’s crazy weather. 2020 truly is the visiting in-law that just.won’t.leave. .

"Some people dance in the rain, others just get wet" Covid Couples, I am here for you. If you are done waiting, and you are ready to dance in the rain, I am here for you. You don't need 200 guests to let your love shine bright, as long as you have each other

day 234985723495872349582349587 of quarantine: Dixie has gone full on Little House on the Prairie. She muttered something about homesteading, then got out the canner and got right to it. I'm not sure how she's putting lids on jars with no opposable thumbs, but I dare not interrupt her when she's wielding a wooden spoon. I'll just stay out of the kitchen until it's over. Hope everyone is hanging in there. Weddings and major life events getting postponed is big stuff, bigger even than a pitbull using a pressure canner. We'll get through it and be better for it, but until then let's keep our chins up and try to be the bright spot in everyone else's day.

These are weird and scary times we're facing, and I don't have a whole lot to offer as a photographer. I'm sure that this busy season is going to be depressingly quiet, and I understand. No one wants a picture of the sad times. You photograph what you're afraid of losing, not what you want to forget. So, in the spirit maintaining a bit of a sense of humor, Queen Dixie the Worst Employee Ever will assist me in some humorous photos over the next few weeks or months. Today, she ...donned her respirator to give me a tour of her fallout bunker (disclaimer we already owned the mask because we were working on the house this was not a panic purchase) PS- Happy St Patricks Day! Hope you all are celebrating with the CDC-recommended max of nine other people! Also PS- thank you Marc for the assist on this one. Convincing a dog to wear a mask is a two person job.

I remember this sweet little face back when she was a puppy waiting for a home with Take Me Home Pet Rescue. She was adopted out, then returned, which is hard to imagine! It all worked out for the best, and she found her happy ending with a mama that loves her so, so much. Happy adoptaversary to Yeti, the sweetest little wild child the world has known!

And now a message from the official Newburgh Photo and Frame mascot/easter bunny/Queen Dixie: the next few weeks or months might be a little crazy, and at the very least we are likely to see some big changes in our lives. Rather than hoard all the TP and Easter chocolates, let's try to be kind, offer help to those who need, and keep from panicking. We're all in this together, even if we need to remain a minimum of six feet apart. This isn't the apocalypse, but it IS a little... scary, so check on your neighbors, offer to help the elderly, and remember to wash your hands. With love, The Easter Pittie

I have *so* many things to say about how your wedding should be your day, about how you should do what YOU want to do, about how the focus of your day should be your love together and not worrying about whether your dress got dirty, but for now, I think this picture says all that I am trying to. All of the love to the Covid brides this year. You are tough, you are in love, and you will find a way to make your day happen.

Happy Self Care Saturday! Dixie just wants to remind you that self care can take many forms, it does not have to be extravagant! She made time for herself today by having a nice, relaxing bath, then curling up on the couch with a cup of tea and a few good books that she *definitely* won't chew to pieces as an act of revenge when I turn my back. After that, it looks like a little nap is in order. Hope everyone is hanging in there and making the best of these weird and wild times

Weekend update from Dixie: She has informed me that she's tired of playing dress-up for silly quarantine pictures, and that she just wants to go for a hike. We had a heck of a time trying to find someplace that wasn't packed but hey, it pays to be a local. We can always find a secret spot The hiatus from ridiculous Dixie pictures will be short, I promise. It's a strange feeling to be sitting here in spring with no plan, rather than gearing up for a busy season but just like everyone, we want to make the best of it. I hope everyone is doing well, and while I don't think we will ever go back to "normal," I can't wait until we are on the other side of this, looking back.

Happy #workfromhomemonday from Dixie! They're saying that dogs can't transmit Covid-19, but Dixie worked from home today just to be safe. She isn't much help with client emails, but she does a good job reminding me that it's lunchtime, and she does an even better job reminding me that at approximately 1:00, we need to take a break to go bark at the mailman. Hope everyone had both a healthy and a productive day.
