Every year my 20 beehives produce 40-50 lbs of beeswax. I donate all of the beeswax to St Casimir Church in Buffalo. The beeswax is used to make a 1.5 lb and 1.5 ft tall decorated thunder candle which is blessed at candle mass in February. There now is a demand for these candles beyond my bees capacity. My bees can only produce so much wax. I recently purchased a FLIR TG165 Infarred Camera. These devices are helpfull in locating the colony during the winter. The image on the left is a picture of one of my Apimaye Hives. The honey super (top box) seems to have allot of bees. Since the Apimaye hive is insulated you won't see bright orange. The image on the right is the same hive but just from the honey super (top box) to the top cover. Above the hive is showing my parents house. You can see where heat excapes from all the windows of the house. Enjoy.
