2/28/2021 NP Skate Garden updates: Sunday 3/7 @ 7pm is our next Skaters Town Hall. https://www.facebook.com/events/247201613787835/ This evening I just had another great meeting with some of our super volunteers, now including a beloved NPHS teacher and fellow skatepark enthusiast (yay and welcome Brennan!) in order to prepare for next Sunday's meeting. I think voting on the slogan might have to be an agenda item at next Sunday's meeting, we got way too much awesome i...nput to narrow it down easily. Thank you so much to all who suggested a slogan for the skate garden we're building in Hasbrouck Park. Now it's time to narrow it down and provide the fundraising subcommittee with our collective favorites they can use in messaging for the capital campaign. Vote here: https://forms.gle/52FNLchbYAnF7iAG8 For some guidance: imagine what words you'd like to see at the top of a letter sent to potential donors beneath a cleaner version of the image in this post (and we'll spell-...out the "sk8" so it's "skate," thanks to Ally B for working on this). Anything that isn't used for the fundraising campaign (which is the biggest part of this project) will totally help, too -- our volunteers running social media can use these slogans for captions, and once some volunteers step-up to help design and make swag like buttons, tees, stickers, you name it I'm sure these slogans will play a part in those designs. There's room for additional responses too. Please note that if suggestions were submitted as comments on a post on social media rather than on the form, there's a good chance I totally missed it so I apologize and hope you'll add it as a comment on this form! We need a slogan to use in our fundraising efforts. What's a good catchphrase that encapsulates our project? Two examples a volunteer came up with were "Ride with Pride Capital Campaign" or "Skateboarding for All," but we think we can do better! I finally figured out how to make a google group have access to a shared drive and since this project is OUR project I think it's important we all have the same access to everything. -- Alex PS you can just send me your email any way you know how!
