7/16 OSB $37.55. For those who don’t know, that is less than 1/2 inch, which is the minimal requirement in our area for roof decking and sheathing. This same sheet less than a year ago was $15. This is why construction prices have sky rocketed. It’s not because your contractor is price gouging and it IS why your homeowners insurance is rising. We have to rate the risk to rebuild your home properly, and this is all part of that. Tariffs on Canadian lumber is partly to blame, along with the pandemic.
