Law Offices of John M. Phillips 07.11.2020

As a business owner with 17 employees, last week was filled with ups and downs- unprecedented victories in the courtroom and the losses clients endure. We will remain open but will do it safely. We owe it to our clients to remain open. Their injuries don’t wait. Their child support or severe family problems don’t wait. Some sit in jail while courts have closed the doors on them. We are committed to justice. It’s not just a saying. It’s a weird time where government is beco...ming more authoritarian, while the court system is closing its doors. We are addressing each and every employee’s needs and abilities to work from home and as I said to them, they should be worried about their family and I am worried about all 17 families (and more) we support. Especially those who are in daily contact with anyone elderly or infirmed. I’ll be at the office every single day. Alone if need be. It’s walking distance from my house. Our phones are open 24/7. I couldn’t be prouder of my team and will do everything to pay them 100% through all of this while other firms are cutting back. I love them. They are family. You can choose a lot of lawyers in town. I don’t know why some choose off of commercials. Or choose lawyers who aren’t board certified as experts when you pay the same. Or hire lawyers who put themselves over their staffs. We will be hiring soon. This post is a thank you to our amazing team. We are here for you. Floridajustice.com.

34 days ago, I had the honor of arguing against the horrendous $4 verdict before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Today, the Court reversed and remanded for a new trial. I have cried many tears since this verdict. Read the Greg Hill v. St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office opinion here: http://media.ca11.uscourts.gov/opinio//files/201813902.pdf

From https://floridapolitics.com//319842-jacksonville-bold-for-: The Jacksonville Daily Record reports on two disparate candidates for the 4th Judicial Circuit’s Seat 2 on The Florida Bar board of governors. Ballots are already out to voters. One pick has deep establishment ties. The other takes a more populist skein.... Representing the establishment: W. Braxton Gillam IV, a partner at Milam Howard Nicandri Gillam & Renner. The firm’s connections are beyond reproach. Alan Howard was former JEA Board Chair, and Rep. Paul Renner is poised to be House Speaker in 2022. Gillam has chaired the Jacksonville Bar Association and the Jacksonville Ethics Commission. The dark horse candidate is John Phillips. He was selected Best Lawyer, Righteous Crusader and One of the 29 Most Influential People in Jacksonville by the readers of Folio Weekly magazine; #1 Lawyer by the readers of Void magazine and Face of Justice in the 904, Top Lawyer and Company with a Heart by 904 Magazine, the Record notes. The winner will be known next month. If you know or have a lawyer in the 904, tell them to PLEASE vote for your anti-establishment buddy John Phillips. Haha. They said it. Not us. But it might just be as true as anything ever said in this context. I mean we literally have the trademark on Committed to Justice. We just want you to get him 4 votes. Just 4. 75% of lawyers blow this off. They shouldn’t.

If anyone knows or has information about this incident, please let us know. If anyone has been the victim of abuse of St. John's Sheriff's County Office, let us know. We are also specifically looking for information about Deputies Anthony Tony Deleo, Joseph McGinnis and Patrick Ponticello. Our client, Christopher Butler, was savagely beaten by police officers on December 29, 2019, for "not cooperating" while he was experiencing a severe medical condition. They then defamed... him and mistreated him and he still can't get the medical attention he needs. Email: [email protected] Phone: (904) 444-4444

Friendly legal advice: Do NOT date checks, contracts or important legal documents as 1/2/20. It’s easily changeable to 1/2/2019 because that’s the first two digits of the last 20 years... and future ones. Better to be safe than sorry. It won’t happen again until 2121. Happy new year!
