We can’t speak for anyone else, but we know New York Speech Coaching wouldn’t survive without our highly skilled, competent, and efficient administrative team. While they deserve accolades every day, today we have even more reason to celebrate them - it’s Administrative Professionals Day!! So what can you do to make your admin team feel special? -Brighten their inbox with a note of your appreciation... -Send flowers to their desk or home -Treat them to lunch, even if that means sending a virtual gift card for UberEats -Write an old-fashioned card and send it in the mail The admin team are often the unsung heroes and heroines of their companies. Show them your appreciation today (and every day!). Even a simple thank you does wonders :)

We coach our clients to ask themselves why they're THANKFUL to be giving this presentation, having that tough conversation, or signing in to the next meeting. Tapping into gratitude before a nerve-wracking engagement can cause physiological shifts that set us up for success. As a Thanksgiving exercise, think of a speaking engagement or conversation coming up that you may be feeling nervous about. Now ask yourself: what about this experience will improve my life or the life o...f someone else? There is always something, whether it's making yourself stronger, strengthening a relationship, or imparting precious information to your listeners. Have you had a speaking engagement recently that you were grateful for? We at New York Speech Coaching are thankful to be able to guide our clients towards the best versions of themselves. The gratitude is strong this year, as we've been especially fortunate to be able to continue serving you all virtually. Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!

There's no time like a pandemic to augment our around-the-house vocabulary. As defined by Dictionary.com, snuggery refers to "a cozy or comfortable place, especially someone's private room or den." We don't know about you, but we've never appreciated our snuggeries more than during stay-at-home orders! www.newyorkspeechcoaching.com

Triathlon - Commonly pronounced as "tri ath UH lon", this word is technically only three syllables: "tri - ath - lon". Makes sense, right? One syllable each for swimming, running, and biking! www.newyorkspeechcoaching.com
