Tuesday feeling like Monday but it’s OK cause we get our workouts on everyday
Having a goal is not enough. Just having a goal will not stop you from quitting. It won’t push you when things get hard. You have to have a strong why that is deeply rooted in what matters most to you.... If you are having trouble with your why try asking yourself why 5 times. This helps get past the surface and dig into your strong WHY that will keep you going when things get hard - because they will! Let’s take a typical weight loss goal. You may want to lose weight to look and feel better. I am going to go out on a limb and say you want to look and feel better so that you can have more energy, more mental clarity to get work and other things done, live a better quality of life into retirement so you can enjoy your time A goal is not enough. Having a strong why will help you keep going when the going gets tough.

It is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to John Gublo. He taught us more then how to throw a punch, he helped so many find their strength and courage. He will be so missed. We know his boxing crew will continue jab, weave and spread his knowledge for years to come
You not believing in yourself is a tragedy. Stop that.
Many times we think signing up for a program or hiring a coach is the solution. While these are wonderful tools to help reach goals, you still have to do the work. You still have to show up when you are tired, figure problems out, or choose to go to training class while your family watches tv... If you find yourself blaming others or any external circumstance for your failures, you are not taking responsibility to figure problems out on your own. When an athlete trains for a sport, their coach is not doing the reps in the gym or running sprints at 5 am for them. The athlete does not blame the coach because they lost - they work with their coach to figure out what went wrong and get back to their training to get better next time.

Don’t downgrade your goals to fit with your current routine. Upgrade your routine to match your goals.

Waiting for the news of when we can all come running back to the gym
We have some BIG news! We are excited to announce the Big Horn Lacrosse Elite Training Program for area lacrosse players this winter. We have partnered with NYSF & Two 22 Sports to give you a program that will take your game to the next level!
Unfortunately NYSF will need to close tonight for 14 days. We are hopeful this will only be two weeks the gym is open for normal hours through tonight. Gym members; we will email you shortly. For now be well this has not been an easy year; but all of you take proactive measures to ensure you stay healthy; we applaud you for that every day. Andi said it perfectly (her words below); (Pic from today’s 6am session: distanced, sanitized and SAFE) ... Going to the gym isn’t just about burning calories, sweating, how many Meps you can earn.. it’s also about COMMUNITY, friendships, routine, endorphins and so much more. Our overall health and well being is a combination of so many things... I’ll miss all of you over the next two weeks Stay healthy and safe and SEE YOU SOON!
Waiting for an answer as to where NYSF is in relation to the yellow and orange zone. As soon we know we will post and email all members. To our gym community; we share your frustration. We have all worked incredibly hard to keep NYSF safe and healthy. I am sure we will know more soon, as of now the gym is open - please continue to do what you have done since we came back - wear your mask probably and clean all used equipment. ...
