So far what we know of the Stimulus Package Deal: 1. If you filed your 2019 taxes-they use that. If not, they will go off 2018 taxes. 2. If you are claimed on someones tax return, you will not get a check. So, those that claimed their parents, their parents will not get a check. 3. If you only get Social Security and do not file taxes, you will still qualify. 4. Within 3 weeks of being signed into LAW. ... 5. There is a phase out and will be explained soon. 6. Direct Deposit will receive money faster than check people. 7. Veterans will also be included. 8. Some people who haven't filed or don't file, will fall through the cracks. 9. There is nothing about owing the IRS, will they keep it, but I would think not. 10. The IRS is low on man power so this will take longer. 11. MOST. We are awaiting news from the IRS on an extension of the tax filing deadline of April 15 and will keep you updated. As of today, March 19, 2020, the filing deadline is still April 15, 2020, but if you owe money, you have until July 15 to pay your income taxes without any penalties. An extension of time to file is available until September 15 for partnerships and S-corporations, and October 15 for individuals and C-Corporations.
