Is there anything more beautiful than a sweet innocent child dressed for their First Communion. Ali’s mom was one of many of the angels that looked over and cared for my twins when they came into this world too soon and decided to take up residency in the NICU for two days shy of seven months! I’m sure my twins are the cause for a few gray hairs on quite a few of their caregivers. I’m so grateful and very blessed to have many of the wonderful nurses still part of our lives.... There was no way we were going to let a rain storm ruin this wedding day!!! It was actually the scariest rain storm I have ever shot in. Thunder and lightning hit just to the left of us. It scared the you know what out of us. We persevered and had just a few minutes where the rain slowed enough for us to go outside for a few photos. I just love all the details of this wedding dress. This is the steeple of the Provincetown Library. I just love the details of this beautiful historic building. The original steeple stood 162 feet tall. During the Portland Gale of 1898 the steeple was weakened and damaged. As a photographer we are often presented with wedding day obstacles that we need to adapt and overcome. Sometimes this leads to some creative ideas. I recently photographed a wedding during a terrible thunder storm. We were able to run outside for a few shots all the while dodging sprinkles. Well that ended super quick when thunder and lightning struck near by. So scary!!! Thank goodness the bride and her family rented an @airbnb that was a converted church!! What a day for a wedding. LeeAnne and Dan had to endure pouring rain and thunder and lightning. We were actually stuck in the middle of a thunderstorm roaring in across the lake. I am that mom that takes her kids out in the middle of a hurricane because the light was incredible. Isaias will be one storm we won’t forget!! The kids were doing great until gale winds blew the sand up pelting everyone like tiny pieces of glass. Shortly after these photos the sky opened up and we had to run for it. By the time we made it to the car we looked like we had just walked out of the ocean!!! This is by far my favorite shoot with my family. Making memories at the beach last a lifetime.
