In celebration of black history month. My first post is none other than the brilliant Jonelle Procope. The Apollo Theater’s President and CEO! Jonelle and her team not only accepted the task to restore the legendary theater but have also implemented plans to ensure the long term stability of the theater/organization, thus preserving a vital piece of black culture/history for future generations! When I began my journey as a professional photographer, never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be standing on an iconic stage as a photographer! I still can’t believe it! During some downtime after a shoot last year. @gaw3000 decided to beat my face, and then ideas started flowing. I love this picture because it's not perfect; some things could be fixed, tweaked, etc. I love it because I got to do something creative for myself. I love making floral frames like I LOVE it! Hey Hey! I’m Nicole the woman behind the lens. One of the reasons why I started my business because growing up I was surrounded by people that would literally pick themselves apart. What they saw as flaws I saw as beauty marks. Unique characteristics that made them different. They shouldn’t be covered they should be celebrated. I remember a time where I hate my eyes, my nose and my five head (four head) just to name a few because there was more. I know what it’s like to look in the mirror and hate what you see. Now I spend my days creating images that celebrate, inspire and empower my clients.
