Historic Barns of Nipmoose

We are excited to be part of the Valley Falls Library Countryside Garden Tour on Saturday, June 26th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Enjoy exploring several diverse gardens in the village and countryside around the Valley Falls Free Library, including the Historic Barns of Nipmoose. Maps will be available at the library (42 State Street in Valley Falls) starting at 10:00 a.m. on the day of the event. Cost of a map/per car is $10. ... We hope to see you there!

The smallest of our three historic barns, the Corn Crib, is a rare remaining example of an early 19th-century timber-framed structure designed for storage of corn and oats. Couples often use this barn as a welcome site for the wedding, to display place cards, photos, menus, and more. It also makes for a charming photo op, as demonstrated by Val and Alex. Take a tour of Nipmoose: Perched on a hillside, the three historic barns and other buildings are surrounded by farm fields, woodlands, a stream, and wetlands. The bucolic views can be enjoyed from both inside and outside the barns. The Scottish Barn, German Barn and Corn Crib, which date from the 18th and 19th centuries, have been fully restored by skilled craftsmen.
