The New York Transit Museum Teen Council is accepting new members! Deadline extended to JULY 9, 2016! The Transit Museum Teen Council will meet for its inaugural sessions this summer on July 16 and 30, August 6 and 20 from 11 am to 2 pm. We are looking for high school students ages 14-19 to serve as advisors to the Museum’s Education Department. Teen Council members will collaborate with each other to develop and promote public programming to better engage teen audiences. The... Transit Museum Teen Council will be: - a welcoming environment for you to explore and discuss New York City and public transportation - an opportunity to learn about museum careers and operations behind the scenes with museum staff - an opportunity to develop community engagement and outreach skills in planning events for other high school students across the city.
