In this year’s Creative Writing Competition, we are focusing on figures (people) in our local community and country, who have had have worked hard to tackle the issue of climate change. You will be writing a 250-word biography about a climate change rebel of your choice and drawing a portrait of your rebel. Through your biographies, you will be asked to explore two key questions: What does it mean to be climate change rebel? What does a climate change advocate look like...? All students are welcome to enter the competition! Students in Upper School will be dedicating English lessons, and some IPC/IMYC lessons, during the week of the competition and they will complete a series of tasks on Global Campus. The deadline to send me entries is November 27th. Visit Global Campus for more information and click on "Writers Corner" to see more about the Creative Writing Competition. See more

Our own Helen Senter is a featured speaker at the DECA Early Child Virtual Fair at 11am today. She started as a NAISNY parent, then worked as a teacher in the 2s and now works with the admissions team - there is nobody more qualified to share what NAISNY is all about! Good luck Helen!
Year 4 showing that even students who aren't with us in person right now are still very much part of the team! "In small groups, we worked on our IPC Exit Point for Scavengers and Settlers. Each group represents either the Stone Age, Bronze Age, or Iron Age. They all researched their time period and collaboratively decided how they wanted to share what they know with the rest of the year group. Interestingly, all three groups decided to make a presentation. In the process we are also learning technology as we go, such as setting up a template, inserting photographs, resizing and cropping, and adding text. We are also working on presentation skills." Ms. Boazman - Y4 Teacher
