Prayer for today: Sovereign God, thank you for being a good Father. Thank you for filling my life with light and hope. I praise you, Jesus, for the abundance of riches I find in YOU. In your holy name I pray, Amen.

This is the Prayer of Confession that was voiced by the members of our congregation this morning. I share it with you all... You are the God who hears: hear ou...r prayer today for all who lament or repent. For those among us who face discrimination every day because of their skin color WE LAMENT. For those among us with white skin who benefit from racist systems sometimes even without realizing it WE REPENT. For those among us who have struggled and waited so long for the Promised Land of freedom and equality WE LAMENT. For those among us who have acted in racist ways and have hurt people of color WE REPENT. For those protesting injustice who face police brutality and a justice system rigged against them WE LAMENT. For those who think racism is someone else’s problem, and not a problem for humanity WE REPENT. See more

Prayer for today: Lord, I know that you hold my future. When things are uncertain and I don’t know what lies ahead, help me to remember the You are in control. Give me faith to trust You. In Jesus name, Amen

Something to think about.

Today’s prayer: Holy Spirit make me brave. Help me to remember that there is no one on earth you did not die to save. Don’t let me be afraid to tell other people about You. I pray that You would put people in my path who need to hear about your love. In Jesus name Amen.
