Unfortunately last night there was a house fire in North Collins. Our thoughts are with the displaced tenants from the building. Thank you to the North Collins Vol. Fire Company and all other responding fire departments for your efforts last night. We would like to also extend our Congratulations to the North Collins Vol. Fire Company Chiefs and firemen for saving 3 dogs from the residence. North Collins EMS EMTs on scene used our Pet Oxygen Kit donated by Emma’s Mission for... the first time and were able to successfully resuscitate the dogs! Good morning! We have a limited supply (20) of bike helmets that we would like to give away to our community youth that are in need of one. Unfortunately we only have size small left. Size small measures 22-23 5/8. To find your head circumference, wrap a flexible tape measure around the largest portion of your headabout one inch above your eyebrows. If you would like one of these size small bike helmets I will be at the hall this morning at 11am until noon in front of the ambulance bay. First come - first serve. Be safe and enjoy your day!

Today North Collins Emergency Squad was recognized by North Collins Volunteer Fire Co. for celebrating 50 years of service to our community. The plaque that North Collins Fire presented proudly displays the first North Collins EMS patch from 1969. Thank You North Collins Fire for the recognition and the honor. Thank you also for your continued partnership and assistance when needed. Thank you to Disaster Relief for helping North Collins Emergency Squad keep our volunteers and our community safe! Both of our ambulances have once again been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Great job and thank you!

Happy National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. April 12-18, 2020 Between the thin Red line, the thin Blue line and the thin White line lies the thinest Gold line. This Gold line represents those who are rarely seen but always heard and appreciated. The calm voice in the dark that it the vital link that holds it all together. Hardworking dispatchers and public safety telecommunicators serve as a vital link between our community and Fire, EMS, and law enforcement agenc...ies. During this week every year, we recognize them for their service and dedication to the community and the safety of the first responders. Thank you for all you do!

Officer changes took place for the North Collins Emergency Squad on April 1, 2020. Pictured is outgoing Director of Operations (DO) Janice Catalano turning over her Director's keys to newly elected DO Tracy Matteson. Catalano stepped down after serving 10 yrs as EMS-9. She will continue to serve the Agency as an Advanced EMT. Also pictured are newly elected EMS 9 Tracy Matteson and Assistant Director of Ops Bryan Judson (EMS 9-1)

North Collins EMS was invited by Dayton Fire to join them in talking to Webelos Scouts Pack 276 about their first responder requirements. We had such a great time. Thank you Dayton Fire for the invite!
