Norwood Model Railroad Club

Hi all; in the interest of safety, the March meeting has been canceled. However, we are planning on a club meeting at the club facility on 8 April. This should give folks VB more time to get vaccinated should they so choose and help reduce risk of severe infections. Stay tuned for April meeting updates as they become available.

Happy New Year everyone. Unfortunately, with the COVID-19 pandemic still raging in our region, we’ve decided to cancel the 11 February club meeting. We are hoping conditions improve enough to hold a meeting on 11 March. ... In the meantime, please stay safe, and run some trains!

We will not hold a regular meeting in November or December. However, we will have a workday on 12 November (Thursday) at 9AM in the club room. Session work will include, but not limited to:... - Continuing work on the new yards and the turning wye - Ballasting track - If able, at least a partial setup of the layout and test of the yards will be conducted As always, facemasks and social distancing will be required. Please stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you at the club next week.

The Club had a work bee this Thursday, October 22. We painted the modules and ballasted the track on our new y and yards for the show vs layout. The picture below shows Ed and Scott finishing the painting on one of the modules.

A brief out of area update: We learned recently that the Trainshow in Clayton has been canceled. They do anticipate having the show in 2021 though.
