It’s International Museum Day! We thought it would the perfect opportunity to remind you about the NTID Alumni Museum project. We are still fundraising for the physical museum space, which will be on the 2nd floor of LBJ Hall. Meanwhile, we’ve set up a virtual NTID Alumni Museum as a place where you, our alumni, can visit and enjoy photos, stories, and cherished memories from your time on campus. More exhibits coming after the summer, meanwhile check out the current exhibit and stories here: https://ntidalumni.omeka.net/ And check out the giving page (https://ntidalumni.omeka.net/giving) to donate and help make the physical museum space a reality for all alumni to enjoy!
Congratulations to the RIT/NTID Class of 2021! You did it! Welcome to the alumni club! #RITGrad #RITNTIDGrad
The RIT/NTID Alumni Association Board of Directors is thrilled to announce new committee chairs! Bola Desalu will head our Development Committee, Julian Moiwai will chair the Communication Committee, Christie Ong will run the Diversity and Governance Committee, Jackie Pransky will helm the Alumni Programming Committee, and Bob Sidansky is in charge of the Alumni in Training Committee. We think we’re in good hands with these five. Keep an eye out for more announcements from our new chairs in the coming months and years, and in the meantime, don’t forget to congratulate them!

We’re sad to see Tiger Alumni Week coming to an end. If you’re not going to one of the many reunions listed on the event schedule (http://bit.ly/TigerAlumni), we hope you enjoyed this week and look forward to next year! If you’re interested in getting involved as an alum or would like to give, please contact Loriann Macko, director of Alumni Relations, at [email protected].

The day is winding down, and so is ROAR Day! This historic event will help fund the Stephanie Smith Albert Memorial Endowment Fund, named in memory of NTID’s first director of diversity & inclusion, who passed away suddenly in October of 2018. This fund will help students with a demonstrated history of working toward a more inclusive society come to school at RIT/NTID. Don’t forget; the NTIDAA Board of Directors is matching up to $2,000, then the federal government is matching 100% of all gifts made to the fund. This means you can give $50 and have it turn into $200. If you haven’t given yet, please consider doing so. Just head to http://bit.ly/ROAR_Albert for more information and to give.
ROAR Day is still going! Have you made your gift to the Stephanie Smith Albert Memorial Endowment Fund yet? If you give $25, it will become $100 after the NTIDAA Board matches up to $2,000 in giftsthen the federal government will match 100% of all gifts made! Quadruple your impact; give today! Head to http://bit.ly/ROAR_Albert to give!

The NTIDAA Board of Directors is matching up to $2,000! The best part: Because it’s an endowment fund, the federal government will also match gifts dollar-for-dollar. The members of the NTIDAA Board would like to inform the alumni community that we received a response to our BLM message on October 7th, as requested. We thank NTID President Gerry Buckley for his timely and thoughtful response https://bit.ly/3m5aKeK. The board will review this letter and discuss our feedback during our upcoming full board meeting this month. We will continue to keep our alumni community posted on progress. In the meantime, we encourage you to visit NTID’s website to review the Antiracism and Social Justice plan at: https://www.rit.edu/ntid/diversity/social-justice at your own discretion.
