NTID Performing Arts 30.10.2020

Check out Alex Larison, one of our carpenters, painting furniture bright neon green. It's so bright that he had to wear sunglasses!! Haha! We switched from in person productions to virtual productions. We now have 2 green screens set up in our Black Box Theatre and Panara Theatre so actors can perform and have it pre-recorded for live streaming shows!! More "Behind the Scenes" next Tuesday!... Yay!!!! IT'S FRIDAY!! Remember to be safe this weekend... WASH your hands, WEAR your mask, WATCH your distance!! Time to get our level down from YELLOW to GREEN!... This production, "Stories From the Deaf Side" was performed on Oct 6-9, 2016. Written and Directed by our very own Aaron Kelstone! The production is about one man's desire to break free of the confines of his life. The performance took place in 1510 Lab theatre at NTID! (Image Description: There are six cast on a blue car. All of them are frighten when they saw a bear. Front of the car on the right, a guy wears a blue shirt and gray overall. He is a main character in the play. His name is Perseus McDaniel and he played as Zak. Along with his friends, Amari Smith as known as Ariel, she is wearing a red overall and black hat with a red ribbon; behind Amari is Hannah Haldeman as known as Penny, she is wearing a purple overall and a black long-sleeve shirt; behind Perseus is Allison Skurtveit as known as Alice, she is wearing a blue overall and a black long-sleeve shirt; next to Allison on the left is John Gonzalez as known as T-Bone, he is wearing blue overall and a black long-sleeve shirt; next to Perseus on the left is Wolfgang Staley as known as Peachy, he is wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants and blue spenders. Background is a junk yard where Zak works on his car. Top left is a caption display that says, Zak: Alright, you all win. I will tell one more story and you all will be involved. We are very excited to announce that Casey Janneck, a wellness teacher at RIT and a certified Zumba instructor is going to do a Zumba Workshop this Sunday 9/27/20 from 3-4pm at the Outdoor Stage! ... Casey is a fantastic instructor, I took her Zumba wellness class while I was here and it was an absolute blast to relieve stress, sweat and have fun dancing.
