Many times we pull people over who regret their decision they they made to drink and drive, it’s not a matter of luck it’s a matter of doing what’s right from wrong. It’s not only about the driver who is driving impaired, but also about the other vehicle on the road who didn’t see the impaired driver coming, the children and infants in the car, the family coming home from a vacation, or the family going to celebrate a birthday party who never made it. The Nunda Police Department, assisted by the Livingston County Sheriff's Office, is investigating an incident that occurred in the Town of Nunda on State Route 436 at approximately 5:54pm involving a male subject with an injury to his neck. The subject involved has been hospitalized and is in stable condition. At this time, the incident is believed to be isolated and there is no risk to public safety.

We know it's very difficult sometimes to check on elderly, disabled, or vulnerable family members who live alone. If you aren't able to contact or check in on a loved one who resides in Nunda, you may call the Nunda Police Department and request a Welfare Check. One of our officers will go to their residence and make sure they're ok, get medical attention, or provide referral services if needed.
