#MemorialDayWeekend ... As the actual day of remembrance approaches, the #CivilAirPatrol Chaplain Corps remembers the over 60 members who gave their lives fight...ing the nation's war at home. They died in the cold Atlantic Ocean prepared to drop homemade bombs on enemy submarines. They died towing targets for warfighters. They died in courier missions. Before there was the non-belligerent, civilian auxiliary Civil Air Patrol, there was the "war-fighting" CAP. These Americans died in their uniforms just like those on other battlefields and missions. This memorial at Arlington National Cemetery, honors these Americans who gave their lives for their country through service in the Civil Air Patrol. #WeRemember
